OKAMOCHI BAG
A bag featuring leather handles and a very spacious gusset takes its name from traditional "Okamochi," a food-carrying container commonly used during the Edo period. Using a rare specialized knitting machine found in only a few locations within Japan, this knit fabric achieves a delicate and intricate texture that standard machines cannot replicate. The material is firm yet lightweight, with limited vertical stretch but ample horizontal elasticity, resulting in a knit bag that offers more storage capacity and usability than its appearance suggests.
